Short Game Golf Tips

Short Game Golf Tips

Something nobody ever taught me was how to make great shots from 50-100 yards out. I never saw it in any golf tips.

I discovered it by accident finding it much easier to hit a “full shot” to the pin than trying to hit a half shot.

The tip is to take your shortest club, for instance your sand wedge, and find out how far it will go. If it will go 100 yards then use it for a full shot at 100 yards. Then to hit a 90-yard full shot, choke down on the club about 1 inch. To hit an 80-yard full shot choke down about 2 inches. Continue checking the distances and how much you have to choke down on the club to keep hitting a full shot. By doing this, I found that I could hit a full 50-yard shot which was much more consistent and accurate than trying to hit a half shot.

If you can get up and down just one more time from 50-60 yards out on your next round, think how wonderful that would be.

If you are more consistent with half shots, maybe this golf tip isn’t for you but I think a lot of golfers are more consistent with full shots. So now is the time to start nailing those 50-100 yarders.

Good luck on the short game with this golf tip.

Enjoy Putting Golf Tips

Enjoy Putting Golf Tips

Try this next time.

This little tip might be very important especially for the weekend or once a week golfer.

This occurred to me when I was watching the professionals play one Sunday.

On one hole one of the top players sank a 25-foot putt. Then the next player 3 putted from 20 feet. What went wrong with the 3 putter?

Either he misread the putts or he miss hit them. I tend to think the latter.

So, I think the most important golf tip for putting is to make certain that you hit every putt where you want it to go.

For your next round of golf go to the putting green and practice a straight 5-10 foot putt. Make certain that your putting stroke hits every ball exactly where you are aiming before you head out on the course. That’s my golf-putting tip.

Good luck on the greens.

Enjoy The Practice Range

Going to the practice range can be a drudgery or it can be fun. We might as well make it fun. Learn more golf tips to practice.

The other day I noticed a very good golfer at the practice range. I watched him hit about 10 shots. Every one of them it seemed was perfect long and straight. I thought to myself, wouldn’t that be boring?

Then several days later I was reading a golf tips article about the practice sessions. It seems that practice sessions can even be fun when every shot you hit goes exactly the way you want it.

You could have a lot of fun by varying shots such as trying to hit it high and then hitting it low. Also have fun by hitting a fade and then a draw. This way you can fully experience that you are in control of where the ball goes. What an exciting concept.

Have fun at the range. Practice golf tips.

Enjoy The Green Grass

One of the most envigorating feelings is walking on the lush green grass on the golf course.

Enjoy your stroll on the green grass.

Today, I was working in the yard by putting some new sod on a brown spot in the back yard. It made me appreciate the area of my yard where the grass is green and lush.

Look forward to the next day on the golf course and enjoy walking on the lush green grass.
